LATAR expressway toll-free for users on first day of Raya

In conjunction with the Aidilfitri celebration, the Kuala Lumpur-Kuala Selangor Expressway (LATAR) is offering free toll for a day, beginning from 12am on July 5 until 11.59pm the following day.

Its chief operating officer, Ahmad Fuad Ahmad Shahimi, said in a statement that the toll-free travel would be enjoyed by all types of vehicles at LATAR's six toll plazas.

"This is the third time LATAR is giving a toll-free journey to its users as part of its corporate social responsibility to society.

"This is in celebrating Aidilfitri and to show our appreciation for the support of our loyal expressway users. Hopefully, this incentive of free toll can help lessen their expenditure during the festive occasion," he said.

Ahmad Fuad said his LATAR team of experts and patrolmen would be on a 24-hour watch to aid users facing emergency situations.

"Besides having 24-hour Touch 'n Go top-up lanes for the users' convenience, customer service centres will also be provided," he said.
