The Low-Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT) will end operations today as all low-cost carriers will fully operate at the new KLIA2. The terminal had opened in 2006 to accommodate the growing number of passengers choosing to travel with AirAsia, Tiger Airwats, Cebu Pacific Air and Firefly.
From today onwards, AirAsia, AirAsia X, Indonesia AirAsia, Thai AirAsia and AirAsia Zest will operate from KLIA2.
Staff members previously based at the LCCT and frequent flyers on low-cost carriers expressed their appreciation to the airport through social media with the #ThankYouLCCT hashtag.
AirAsia X CEO Azran Osman-Rani and AirAsia Malaysia CEO Aireen Omar were the first to share their memories of the terminal:

Share your memories of LCCT, or a photo to @501Awani on Twitter, with the #ThankYouLCCT tag.
If you have any suggestions, what do you think the LCCT building should be used for now that it will be empty.
