Ahmad Razif said another of Najib's strong point was his ability to focus on the people and the nation's development.
Four special characteristics of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, namely his patience, steadfastness, generosity and strong resilience inspite of the beatings he had endured, should be emulated by other leaders, said Terengganu Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman.
He said another of Najib's strong point was his ability to focus on the people and the nation's development even though he was being attacked by the opposition from all angles.
He claimed that PKR vice-president Nurul Izzah Anwar was also in Terengganu recently on a mission to thwart the presence of the prime minister to the state.
"They could even go to that extent. They hope to see that there is lukewarm response from the people when the prime minister is in Terengganu. Datuk Seri, before us here today are 20,000 people who have come to give their support. Well done! " he said.
Ahmad Razif said this when Najib launched the Bukit Nanas People's Housing Programme (PPR) at Tepoh state constituency, near here yesterday.
Also present was Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government Minister Tan Sri Noh Omar,
A total of 500 units of PPR houses were built in Bukit Nanas costing close to RM84 million. This is the second project followng the RM134 million Hiliran PPR project in Kuala Terengganu which comprised 1,002 units.
Ahmad Razif expressed the hope that the federal government would build more housing projects in Terengganu in line with the aspiration of the state government to have 20,000 housing units completed by 2020.
"The state government's three main focus now are to help the people cope with the rising cost of living, provide employment opportunities and housing facilities for them.
"If we want more housing projects in Terengganu, together we have to ensure that we win the Kuala Nerus parliamentary seat and Tepoh state seat at the upcoming election," he said.
Meanwhile, Noh told a press conference here that the Bukit Nanas PPR housing units could attract RM124 monthly rental or be sold at as low as RM35,000 per unit.
However, he said the PPR units were built for the residents to live in and were not for rent or be converted as home stays.
"The rental rates and sale price are significantly lower than current housing market price as the federal government had taken into account the financial capability of those eligible to own the PPR units," he said.
