"He can do what he likes, the people can assess," was the brief answer from Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir when asked to comment on a move by Hutan Melintang State Assemblyman (PKR) S. Kesavan to go on a hunger strike yesterday.
Speaking to reporters at Radio Television Malaysia here today, Zambry said Malaysia being a democratic country, the public could assess for themselves if such action was positive or otherwise.
Yesterday, it was reported that Kesavan would go on a hunger strike, this time at the visitor parking area of the Perak Election Commission (EC), starting 8 am.
The aim of the strike was to get the Perak EC to accept 200 protests submitted to the commission and the police report on the matter.
Kesavan claimed more than 2,000 voters who were not from the Hutan Melintang constituency had been registered there.
