"Let's just bury this issue between me and Nazri" - TMJ
The crown prince who is fondly known as TMJ said he would continue to speak on behalf of his people and for Johors best interest.
Tunku Mahkota of Johor Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim has called on all media to stop playing the public spat between him and the Tourism and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Aziz.
“I know you are all are enjoying the show,” the Crown Prince of Johor wrote on his Facebook post titled “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, GUYS”.
“I have said all I needed to say so Please respect this holy month of Ramadhan and let me and my family enjoy it in peace,” he said in the post.
The crown prince who is fondly known as TMJ said he would continue to speak on behalf of his people and for Johor’s best interest.
“For now let's just bury this issue between me and Nazri because it's not going anywhere and to be honest i'm getting bored of it,” he said.
On a lighter note, he said to make matters more interesting, the media should organise a kickboxing match between him and Nazri and donate the proceed to charity.
“GUYS, I'M ONLY KIDDING,” he joked.
On the Facebook post, he also wished all Muslims a happy Ramadan.
“And for all the non-Muslims in Malaysia may God Bless you and your loved ones,” he said.
The spat between the prince and Nazri began when he criticised Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak for his failure to turn up at the #Nothing2Hide event.
In defence of Najib, Nazri had told the prince to stay out of politics or risk being ‘whacked’.
Police have since recorded a statement from Nazri over his remarks which is said to have insulted the monarchy.
