Lexus Malaysia introduces their new flagship SUV

Lexus Malaysia is ready to introduce the final model of the year. It’s been a very SUV year for the manufacture with the launch of first the NX then recently the RX, and they are continuing their momentum with the official introduction of the Lexus LX570.

Hot off the heels of the American debut, the LX570 comes fully imported from Japan. The outside has been extensively redesigned with more focus on the aerodynamic performance. From the door panels all the way to the fenders, the LX’s five-metre length and two-metre width is designed to portray the impression of power while maintaining its stance as a full-fledge SUV.

On the inside, Lexus has designed according to the Lexus Identity. The LX570 comes equipped with a triple linkage multimedia system which displays itself on the 12.3-inch centre display. You get a head-up display and a 4.2-inch TFT Colour Display between the speedometer and the tachometer.

To emphasise on comfort, Lexus has made sure to include an Arm Rest Control Panel that also houses the controls of the ventilated seats and the four-zone independent temperature control air-conditioning system.

Under bonnet lies Lexus’s biggest engine, a 5.7-litre V8 with advanced Dual Variable Valve Timing with intelligence, in other words DVVT-i. The 3UR-FE engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission tuned to produce a power output of 362bhp and 530Nm of torque powering the car from 0-100kph in 7.7 seconds.

An Integrated Drive Mode comes as a new feature in the LX570 to give optimum performance in different conditions. The four-wheel drive system is supported by a TORSEN limited-slip locking centre differential to distribute power 40:60 front-to-rear, and works to direct more power to the wheels with the best grip.

The LX570 comes with the usual list of safety systems and the most notable of which is the Multi-Terrain Monitor. The monitor is a driving support system that displays footage around the vehicle when travelling at low-speeds and as a perimeter safety confirmation, so drivers not only get a 360 degree view of the vehicle but a view of the under carriage as well.
