Local and foreign journalists covering the Kim Jong Nam's assassination case at the National Institute of Forensic Medicine (IPFN) at Hospital Kuala Lumpur and the North Korean embassy were in for a finger lickin' good experience, courtesy of the National Press Club (NPC).
NPC president Datuk Mokhtar Hussain distributed packed KFC meals for local and foreign journalists who have been 'camping' at the site since the death of Jong Nam, the half-brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
Rain or shine, a large number of journalists 'camp' outside IPFN and the Sepang Police Headquarters, 24 hours a day, hoping to obtain the latest updates over the death of Jong Nam who died at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (KLIA2) on Feb 13.
Today, NPC president Datuk Mokhtar Hussain who visited the site, distributed packed KFC meals to about 50 local and foreign journalists.
Mokhtar also met journalists who were at the site to enquire about the latest progress.
The Malaysian Press Photographers Association (MPPA) had also made a similar visit and distributed food to media personnel at IPFN in the past.
On Feb 24, HKL had set up a canopy and provided chairs and tables for journalists.
Thus far, no family members or next-of-kin of Jong-nam had come forward to submit their DNA or claim the body.
Jong-nam, had entered the country (Malaysia) using a passport that stated his name as Kim Chol born June 10, 1970, but police later confirmed he was actually Kim Jong-nam born May 10, 1971 who died on the way to the Putrajaya Hospital on Feb 13 after being 'attacked' by two women at the klia2. - BERNAMA
