Loss of halal certificate due to upgrading of central kitchen - Secret Recipe

Secret Recipe on its Facebook posted that the halal certification has been retracted by the Islamic Development Department (Jakim).

The company has issued an assurance that the ingredients and preparation of products as well as its food are in accordance to the Halal Certification Standards of Malaysia.

According to a statement posted on Jakim’s official Facebook Tuesday, the withdrawal which took effect on May 7 was not due to violations involving hygiene offense and not to any misuse of impermissible (haram) substances in the ingredients.
