Lost hikers at Gunung Pulai found safe

JOHOR BAHRU: Two hikers who lost their way while trekking on Gunung Pulai, were found safe last night.
Kulai Fire and Rescue Station operations commander Wan Mohd Azrul Wan Mahamad Shaf'ii said the two victims, Muhammad Syazwan Kamarulzzaman, 25, and Muhammad Fadzrel Haziq Mohd Farid, 16, were found at about 10.45 pm.
The victims who did not suffer any injuries were then sent to the Kulai Hospital using the Emergency Medical Rescue Service (EMRS) vehicle, he said in a statement today.
Wan Mohd Azrul said a Fire Rescue Tender (FRT), an EMRS unit and a Hilux utility vehicle with eight personnel were immediately dispatched to the scene after receiving a distress call at 5.30 pm yesterday.
He said the search and rescue operation ended at 1.15 am today.
