Lucky day for three 'Khalid's

It was a lucky day yesterday for three Malaysians who shared the name 'Khalid'.
Two of them, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim and former Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin took oath this morning as Selangor Menteri Besar and Johor Menteri Besar respectively.
Whereas the third Khalid, former Deputy Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar was appointed as the new IGP effective this Friday.
Abdul Khalid was sworn in for a second term before the Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah at Istana Alam Shah, Klang.
Mohamed Khaled took oath as the new Johor Menteri Besar before the Sultan of Johor Sultan Ibrahim Almarhum Sultan Iskandar at the state assembly hall in Bangunan Sultan Ibrahim, Bukit Timbalan, Johor Baharu.
Khalid, who was previously Negeri Sembilan police chief, Bukit Aman CID deputy director and Selangor police chief is replacing Tan Sri Ismail Omar who is retiring this Thursday.
