BAGAN DATUK:Datuk M Daud Kilau or his real name Muhammad Daud Kilau, is expected to undergo a heart surgery at the National Heart Institute (IJN) in Kuala Lumpur soon.
The 82-year-old veteran singer who had just been discharged from Teluk Intan Hospital, said he would be going for a pre-operative assessment at IJN this Monday.
“I have just arrived at my son’s house at Wangsa Maju (Kuala Lumpur) today. If all goes well, Insya-Allah I will soon check in for surgery,” he told Bernama here, today.
The ‘Che Mek Molek’ singer said he was touched with the strings of messages and calls from fans and friends, who offered words of encouragements for him to be healthy again.
“I ask for fans and anybody who knows me to pray for me that the surgery go well,” he said.
Meanwhile, son, Ahmad Zaini, 49, said his father had been experiencing fatigue and loss of appetite after being warded at Teluk Intan Hospital since Nov 12.
M Daud Kilau had been facing various health problems for the past four years including diabetes and heart condition.
