MACC detain businessman to facilitate probe on Sabah funds misappropriation

The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) detained another person to facilitate investigations into the misappropriation of rural development funds in Sabah involving RM1.5 billion, on Saturday.
According to a source, the 33-year-old businessman was arrested at about 5.15 pm when he went to the Sabah MACC office to make a statement.
The source said the businessman has no political position.

With the arrest, the number of individuals detained by the MACC, including those being remanded and released on MACC bail so far is eight persons.
