Isa today was remanded for five days to assist in the graft probe.
Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has not made any move to freeze former Felda chairman Tan Sri Isa Samad’s assets, following his arrest yesterday.
MACC deputy commissioner in charge of operations Datuk Azam Baki said this is because the commission is still awaiting results of the investigation before it can carry out any follow-up action.
"Only after discussion and further investigation from the investigating officer that we will determine whether the assets will be frozen or not," said Mohd Azam, here, today.
He also did not state whether more arrests will be made after this.
The MACC's investigation on the purchase of two luxury hotels by Felda Investment Corp Sdn Bhd (FIC) began two months ago with close to 40 statements taken.
Isa today was remanded for five days to assist in the graft probe. The remand order was granted by Registrar of Subordinate Courts Datuk Zainal Abidin Kamarudin.
