The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has never obstructed the Royal Malaysian Police from performing their duties.
Former Inspector-General of Police, Tan Sri Musa Hassan expressed his surprise over a report that MACC had detained a police officer who was investigating an alleged bribery supposedly handled at the Sepang Police headquarters on Tuesday.
In his tweet to Astro AWANI, Musa said it is a criminal offence to obstruct the police from performing their duties.
Musa said the IGP should cooperate with the investigating agency when a crime is alleged to have done by any police officers.
Musa also agreed to one of the opinion given by a netizen that the police should not be afraid if they have not committed any crime.
