A private college director who was remanded for five days to facilitate Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission investigations into issuance of science foundation certificates for RM2,500 each to students who wanted to pursue medical studies abroad, has been released.

The man aged 53 was released today on RM7,000 bail set by magistrate Humairah KM Haider.

Counsel Datuk Ng See Teong said MACC informed him that it was tracing 20 witnesses who were former students of the college.

"MACC said it would let me know if it intends to prosecute my client," he told reporters when met at the Kuantan Court Complex here today.
