A Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) senior official has been remanded for four days over the misuse of a company-issued credit card.

The senior general manager of MAHB's human resources department had allegedly used the card to sign up for a beauty skin treatment and body slimming package, costing about RM80,000.

The remand order, which begins today, was granted by the Putrajaya Magistrate's Court.

The 41-year-old man was detained at his residence in Bandar Tun Razak, Cheras by the Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission around 11am yesterday.

He is being investigated under Section 23 of the MACC Act for abusing his position for personal benefit.

The credit card was issued by MAHB to senior staff for official use, such as purchase of airfare, accommodation, entertainment and meeting expenses, among others.

But body slimming and skin treatment were not among the benefits.

Investigations revealed that the man had sought his beauty treatment at a clinic and private hospital at Klang Valley between December 2015 and August last year.
