Mahdzir slams group circulating fake news about SPM History papers

Education Minister Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid said students and parents had been emotionally affected by the news which went viral on the social media.

"I have asked the Malaysian Examination Board (LPM) to lodge a police report and hand it (the evidence) over to the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission for further investigations," he said.

Mahdzir was speaking to reporters after the SME Bank Y-Biz Challenge Young Entrepreneur Innovation Programme 2016 prize giving ceremony here today.

The students sat for the papers yesterday since the LPM had denied that the papers were leaked.

Meanwhile, SME Bank chairman Tan Sri Faizah Mohd Tahir said the fifth edition of the programme saw participation from more than 88 secondary schools nationwide, and it proved that the programme had successfully attracted students due to its interesting concept.

"As such, we've decided to hold a programme with the same concept for students at community colleges next year, taking turns with secondary schools," she said.

Rawang Integrated Boarding School won first place in the competition for creating 'Essential Fan' which helps relieve headaches and sleepiness.

The team, led by its accompanying teachers Sakinah Yusoff and Marlina Mat Napes bagged RM20,000, a trophy, certificates and return flight tickets worth RM25,000 for four people to participate in a competition abroad.
