MAINS contributes RM16,800 to victims of religious school fire

The Negeri Sembilan Islamic Religious Council (MAINS) today handed out contribution amounting to RM16,800 to 42 students and staff of a religious school in Chengkau that was razed by fire last Thursday.
MAINS secretary Kamal Amran Kamarudin handed out cash vouchers of RM400 each to the As Sofa Astana Raja Foundation's students and employees.
"This assistance is hoped to help ease their burden, especially for students who will sit for the PT3 soon," he told reporters here today.
Also present were the school principal Nor Badrulzaman Nordin and parents of the students.
At the event, Mydin Mohamed Holdings Bhd also donated school uniforms to the affected students.
