Tan Sri Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah has called on the authorities to reveal the Public Accounts Committee's (PAC) full report on 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).
The Gua Musang MP said this is the only way to put to rest the people's speculations and rumours about the state development fund and the government.
"We hope this will be made public. If action needs to be taken, then take it on the management.
"Now is the time to fix this and the concerns of the people must be addressed," said Tengku Razaleigh, who is also Gua Musang UMNO division chief, at the ground-breaking ceremony of the Bandar Lama county mosque here today.
He said explanations on the report should not be made by UMNO leaders, but those who were directly involved in the management of 1MDB.
"Whoever found guilty must be punished as the amount involved is very big, and the rakyat have to bear the cost," he said.
The former finance minister said he didn't make any statements about 1MDB before because he had yet to receive the PAC's report.
"But now, the report has been completed and tabled in Parliament," he added.
The long-awaited Governance Management Control Report on 1MDB by the PAC was tabled in Parliament last Thursday.
Among the recommendations stated in the 106-page report, the PAC had urged authorities to investigate 1MDB's former CEO Datuk Shahrol Azral Ibrahim Halmi and relevant parties.

Following the report, 1MDB's board of director had offered its resignation.
"This has been a difficult decision to take but we believe is the right thing to do, given the circumstances, in order to facilitate any follow-up investigations as recommended by the PAC," the company had said in a statement.
PAC began its probe on 1MDB on May 19 last year, focusing on its governance control management since it was incorporated in 2009 – after the Terengganu Investment Authority state fund – was turned into a federal agency.
