KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Airlines has conveyed its heartfelt tribute to His Majesty Seri Paduka Baginda Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta'in Billah and Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah who ended their reign as Malaysia's 16th Yang di-Pertuan Agong and the Raja Permaisuri Agong today.

In its post on X (formerly known as Twitter), the national carrier said Al-Sultan Abdullah's reign as the 16th Yang di-Pertuan Agong has been marked by wisdom and grace, leaving an indelible legacy of leadership.

Al-Sultan Abdullah took the oath of office on Jan 31, 2019, and will be replaced by the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar who will begin his five-year reign as the 17th Yang di-Pertuan Agong starting tomorrow.
