Malaysia detects another 2,867 new COVID-19 cases, two deaths
As of yesterday, 2,145 patients have recovered from the virus, which brings the overall total of recoveries to 4,500,856 so far. - BERNAMA
KUALA LUMPUR: As of midnight Thursday, a total of 2,867 new daily COVID-19 cases was detected, taking the overall total number of infections in the country to 4,566,055 since the pandemic started.
Based on the data from the COVIDNOW portal, a total of 2,863 from the total of cases reported were local transmissions, while the other four were imported cases.
Currently active cases stood at 29,434, with 1,249 patients hospitalised, of whom 43 are in the intensive care unit.
As of yesterday, 2,145 patients have recovered from the virus, which brings the overall total of recoveries to 4,500,856 so far.
Meanwhile, the Health Ministry reported a total of two COVID-related deaths with no brought in dead cases, taking the cumulative total to 35,765.
