Malaysia, Indonesia agree to provide temporary shelter for Rohingya migrants
The meeting which began at 9am was held between Anifah, Thailands deputy prime minister general Tanasak Patimapragorn (pic) and Indonesias foreign minister Retno Marsudi.
Malaysia and Indonesia have unanimously agreed to continue its humanitarian aid for the 7,000 migrants who are still in the middle of the sea.
Foreign Minister, Datuk Seri Anifah Aman informed that Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta have agreed to provide temporary shelter for one year.
This agreement was achieved during a joint meeting with Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand which discussed the irregular movement of people's plight, here today.
The meeting which began at 9am was held between Anifah, Thailand’s deputy prime minister general Tanasak Patimapragorn and Indonesia’s foreign minister Retno Marsudi.

The meeting among others also focused on the problems arising from the arrival of Rohingya migrants to the three countries involved and Myanmar’s threat of not to attend the 27th ASEAN meeting this November if this issue was brought to the forefront.
