KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia registers another 21,315 new COVID-19 infections within the last 24 hours.
This brings the cumulative total to 3,061,550 cases since the pandemic hit the country.
Eleven more people have died in Malaysia from COVID-19, registering the country’s overall fatalities at 32,125.
According to the Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, of the daily cases reported, 87 cases (0.41 per cent) were from categories 3, 4, and 5 while 21,228 cases (99.59 per cent) were from categories 1 and 2.
Category 1: 6,200 cases (29.09%)
Category 2: 15,028 cases (70.50%)
Category 3: 48 cases (0.23%)
Category 4: 23 cases (0.11%)
Category 5: 16 cases (0.07%)
A total of 22,936,644 individuals or 97.5 per cent of the adult population have completed the vaccination, with 56.4 per cent of them having received the booster dose as of yesterday.
