KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia is set to spearhead several multi-country initiatives, including workshops and conferences focused on regulatory reforms, productivity enhancement via artificial intelligence (AI), and modern management practices for small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) chairman Datuk Kamaruzzaman Johari said these initiatives aim to equip member economies with the latest tools and strategies to drive sustainable productivity growth.
"Productivity is the heartbeat of economic prosperity," he said in a statement today.
The MPC had recently co-organised the 66th Asian Productivity Organisation (APO) governing body meeting (GBM) involving representatives from 20 member economies.
The session aimed to boost regional productivity and set the stage for sustainable socio-economic growth across the Asia-Pacific.
This year's GBM focuses on initiatives and future-focused strategies, among them is the development of a framework to synchronise project execution that aligns with member needs and an update on green productivity approach to parallel environmental and productivity paradigms.
