A Royal Malaysian Air Force Aermacchi MB-339CM jet trainer had reportedly crashed in Kampung Serun near Nenasi, Pekan this afternoon, said Fire and Rescue Department.
In the 12.50pm incident, the cause of the crash was due to an engine faulty during an air combat training.
The aircraft was carrying two RMAF officers including a trainer and his trainee.
Both are reportedly safe and only suffered minor injuries.
"The two pilots managed to safely get out after they deployed the ejection seats," said RMAF in a statement today.
RMAF added that a committee will be established to investigate the cause of the incident.
