Malaysian Bar rejects proposal to censure Christoper Leong over Anwar Ibrahim case

The Malaysian Bar today rejected the proposal from G100 to censure the Bar Council president Christoper Leong over his criticism of the judiciary over Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim sodomy case.
The G100, comprising of a group of lawyers, had demanded that Leong to retract his Feb 11 statement titled “Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim: Prosecuted or Persecuted?”.
They had also demanded an apology from him over the matter.
The motion proposed by G100 member Faidhur Rahman Abdul Hadi.
