Last Thursday marked a momentous occasion as a Malaysian delegation led by Mr. Ramelle Tan Sri Ramli, Charmain of FELCRA Education together with the founders of StudyGermany, Datuk Dr. Ir. Mahadi Mohamad and Dr. Azlan Azmi visited Tesla Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg in Germany.
The visit was made possible by the German cooperation partner companies GFW International/Malaysia Sdn Bhd and HonestPassion Global. The two companies were represented during the visit by Thomas Eichler, Ralf Landauer and Harry Entemann. The visit marked a new starting point for mobility of young talents from Malaysia to Tesla in Germany. The visit is the first of its kind from Asian delegation by invitation from Tesla Inc. Germany. This visit was made possible due to the success of two Malaysian youth who managed to secure apprenticeship position in Tesla Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg, Germany under the Dual Vocational Training Program (Ausbildung) by StudyGermany and FELCRA Education.
Mr. Axel Schmook, head of vocational school for Tesla said during visit “It is an honour for us to receive this delegation from Malaysia, and I believe this is a good start to highlight the opportunities available for Malaysians in the Ausbildung Program with Tesla and many other companies in Germany. With the success of these two students from Malaysia securing the position with Tesla via Ausbildung, we can see up close the talents available from Malaysia and also train these young talents. I hope we can see more young talents from Malaysia joining us in the near future.”
Mr. Ramelle Tan Sri Ramli, Chairman of FECLRA Education also added “On behalf of FELCRA Education and StudyGermany, we are very honored to be invited to visit these world-class facilities in Tesla, Germany. To be the first delegation invited from Asia is a huge thing for us and we are very thankful for the opportunity. I also would like to express my appreciation to our strategic partner, StudyGermany for leading the Dual Vocational Training or Ausbildung Program in Malaysia and their plan to enhance human capital development of young Malaysian talents through this program. I hope with the partnership between FELCRA Education and StudyGermany, more young talents from Malaysia can be seen on a global stage with a program like this. With the presence of HonestPassion Global and GFW Malaysia Sdn Bhd, we have two German partners that understand and values the Malaysian labor market and I know they are eager to provide pathways for Malaysians to build their career in Germany.
The one-day visit consists of visit to Tesla Gigafactory manufacturing facilities and Europaschule OSZ Oder- Spree their vocational training centre, gave a clearer picture to the delegation on the training structure and the added value that Tesla provide for the apprentices. The visit was also joined by Her Excellency Dr. Adina Kamarudin - Ambassador of Malaysia to the Federal Republic of Germany, and Puan Zuhaila Akmar Sedek - Trade Commissioner MATRADE Frankfurt.
