Malaysian haj pilgrims are advised to not follow the action or practices of Muslims from other countries when performing their pilgrimage for fear that it could jeorpardise their intention of getting a 'mabrur" haj (divinely accepted haj).
Tabung Haji (TH) head of the haj consultants for 1438H season, Datuk Wan Mohamad Abdul Aziz said Malaysians having any doubts on the rituals and practices for the haj pilgrimage should consult the haj consultant stationed at their respective maktab (places of accommodation).
For those planning to visit the various places on the holy land, he said, they should know the places they were required to visit and what they should do and not do there.
Besides Wan Mohamed, who is former Malaysian Islamic Development Department (Jakim) director-general, other TH haj consultants for the current season are former Johor Mufti Datuk Mohd Noh Gadut and a former lecturer at Universiti Malaya, Dr Anisah Abdul Ghani.
