Malaysian police confirm no report received against PetroSaudi
The Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar asks the public to stop making any speculations against the multinational company.
The Royal Malaysian Police have confirmed not receiving any report relating to misappropriation by PetroSaudi International in the country to enable investigations to be conducted against the multinational.
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said, as such, the public were asked to stop making any speculations on the matter.
"Following enquiries from various parties, it is confirmed that the police have not receive any report lodged relating to PetroSaudi's misappropriation in Malaysia," he said in a statement here today.
Yesterday, PetroSaudi's former executive Xavier Andre Justo was sentenced to three years' imprisonment by the Bangkok South Criminal Court after he admitted to attempting to blackmail his former employer, PetroSaudi International.
The Swiss national was arrested in Thailand on June 22 by Thai authorities after PetroSaudi filed a complaint against him.
