Malaysian police's plan to record Swiss national Xavier Andre Justo's statement in connection with 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) proceeded today as scheduled in Bangkok, Thailand.
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar confirmed this to Bernama when asked about the move to record the statement of the PetroSaudi former employer who is currently being detained in Bangkok.
Meanwhile, Bernama correspondent in Bangkok, Minggu Simon said the Malaysian police team was seen entering the prison at 10 am local time (11am Malaysian time).
He was also told that the team which left around noon for lunch would be returning in the evening.
The Malaysian police team headed by Bukit Aman CID deputy director (Investigation/Legal) Datuk Amar Singh Ishar Singh was tasked to obtain Justo's statement.
