Malaysian student killed in East Java road crash

A 13-year-old Malaysian, a student at a religious boarding school, Pesantren Santri PP. Al-Qurroh Sondel Kaumrejo Ngantang, died in a road crash in Malang, East Java Friday.
Shahrul Ramadhan Mazlan, who was enrolled at the school four months ago, was said to have lost control of the motorcycle he was riding and crashed into the road divider in the 8am mishap.
According to Education Malaysia Indonesia, Shahrul Ramadhan died at the scene and the body was sent to a district hospital there for a post mortem.
Shahrul Ramadhan's father, Mazlan Ismail, had been informed of the incident and had given permission for the college and the Malaysian Embassy to arrange his son's funeral in Malang.
Mazlan is also expected to arrive in Malang, either Friday or Saturday, for the funeral.
