Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi advised Malaysian students in Manchester to be more careful, especially in allowing students from other countries entering their homes.
“This should be done in view of the present situation, where it is strictly controlled by the security forces" Zahid said.
When asked about the three Malaysian students who were questioned by Greater Manchester Police, he said that they are safe but traumatised.
"This is because the police have entered their residence and broke down the locked doors.
"However we understand of what is going on over there (Manchester)," he told a press conference at the Tengku Ampuan Jemaah Mosque, Bukit Jelutong tonight.
At least 22 people were killed and more than 100 injured in an explosion that took place just after Ariana Grande’s concert at Manchester Arena on May 23.
According to the British Transport Police, explosions took place in the foyer of the building at around 10.30 pm (local time).
