Man found dead following attack in housing estate

A man in his 30s was found dead with several stab wounds on his body following an attack by a group of men in Taman Anggerik here early today, police said.

Kedah CID chief ACP Mohd Nashir Ya said the body of Ang Keng Eng of Kuala Kedah was found at 1.35 am near a sundry shop, the front of which was where he was attacked.

"We found a sharp object that was used to stab Ang. We are tracing a car that was used by the attackers to flee, based on the registration number given by an eye-witness," he said.

The police would study the recording of a closed circuit TV camera at a nearby shop as part of the investigation, he said.

Mohd Nashir said Ang had several criminal records related to drugs.
