Man found dead in Kota Damansara, believed murdered

A 32-year-old man is believed to have been murdered with a sharp weapon at the People's Housing Project in Section 8, Kota Damansara, Petaling Jaya, near here on Saturday.

Petaling Jaya District Police chief ACP Mohd Zani Che Din said the victim was found unconscious and bleeding by a member of his family at 4.20 pm.

He said family members had taken the victim to the Sungai Buloh Hospital for treatment before he was confirmed dead at 5.15 pm.

"Upon arriving at the hospital, the victim received treatment at the red zone before the doctor confirmed the victim had died due to being stabbed with a sharp object," he said in a statement here.

He said the police were looking for a relative of the victim who escaped immediately after the incident to assist with investigations, adding that the case was being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
