A man believed to be mentally unstable behaved in a disruptive manner by throwing wood splinters from the top of the Leaning Tower of Teluk Intan before police detained him this evening.
A worker at the tower, Isham Ishak, 38, said he heard a noise from the top of the tower about 4pm.
"I saw a man breaking the ceiling of the tower and throwing the debris down.
"When I tried to ask why and to persuade the man to stop, he cursed and called me for a fight," he told reporters here Wednesday.
Isham said he with some others managed to catch the man as he turned aggressive and handed him over to the police.
Meanwhile, Hilir Perak District Police chief ACP Wan Hassan Wan Ahmad, when contacted, confirmed the incident. -- Bernama
