Man & His Woman
One of the season’s biggest news would be Alessandro Michele’s breakout fame at Gucci. Mysterious and unconventional, the Italian designer was little-known before his Gucci debut so after his Fall/Winter 2015-16 womenswear collection, the fashion world has straightened up and taken notice of Michele’s offerings and fashion proposal.
Our cover features man and his woman in Alessandro Michele’s creations seen through the eyes of our fashion stylist Weechee. It’s a wardrobe where brocade jackets, brooch covered furs and embroidered sweaters from the ‘40s and ‘70s might resurface. The girls wore glasses, berets and the guys were appropriately dishevelled in their deliberately ill-fitting suits.
Main buzz words include estate sale, Williamsburg flea market and gender fluidity. We are embracing his Fall/Winter 2015 gender-neutral, vintage inspired, Wes Anderson-esque collection.
