A man who flashed his private parts in front of songstress Datuk Siti Nurhaliza Tarudin's house was today jailed six months after he failed to pay the fine imposed by the Ampang Magistrate's Court.
Magistrate Noor Farah Hazwani Osman had imposed the RM5,000 fine, in default six months' jail on Amiruddin Sulaiman, 48, who had pleaded guilty to the offence.
Amiruddin was charged under Section 509 of the Penal Code for showing gestures intended to insult the modesty of the singer's Indonesian security guard, Alias, 61.
The unemployed man committed the offence in front of the house, owned by Siti Nurhaliza's husband Datuk Khalid Mohd Jiwa at Bukit Antarabangsa here at 5pm on Oct 4.
The charge carries imprisonment for up to five years, or fine, or both, if found guilty.
In mitigation, Amiruddin's lawyer Dony Abdullah, said it was his client's first offence and he was a widower with two children aged 19 and 21.
Deputy public prosecutor Norhashimah Hashim asked for a jail term on the grounds that the offence posed risks to the safety of the house owner's family.
