Man killed after jumping from hospital building

A 52 year old man was found covered in blood today after jumping off the seventh floor of the Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun (HRPB) early Sunday morning.

The incident occurred around 7.15am where the deceased, Richard Nilliah from Taman Silibin was found dead by passers-by at the hospital's corridor.

According to Ipoh district police chief Assistant Commissioner Sum Chang Keong, police did not find any foul play in the incident.

"Early investigations found that Nilliah was an alcoholic and was receiving treatment at HRPB but i was told that he kept trying to escape from the hospital," said Chang Keong.
