A man was killed, while three others sustained injuries after a tree fell on them while they were waiting under a rain shelter at a golf course in Section U1, Shah Alam last night.
The victim, Lim Tat Thuan, 68, died at the scene.
Kota Anggerik fire and rescue station operation chief Mohd Firdaus Zainudin said they were alerted about the incident at 5.30 pm.
"The victim was crushed under the shelter and we managed to take the body out 15 minutes after removing the fallen tree using a forklift," he told Bernama when contacted.
He said the three other victims comprised a local man and a couple from South Korea, who escaped with minor injuries.
"They had just finished their rounds of golf and were taking shelter from heavy rain and strong wind when the rain shelter was crushed by a fallen tree," he said.
Meanwhile, Shah Alam police chief ACP Shafien Mamat confirmed the incident, saying that the victim from Subang Jaya was taken to Klang Hospital for post-mortem.
