Man nabbed for allegedly killing disabled son

The police have detained a retired military personnel in connection with the murder of his disabled eldest son at their two-storey house in Jalan Terusan, Simpang Lima in Parit Buntar early Tuesday.
Kerian police chief Supt Omar Bakhtiar Yaacob said the 21-year-old victim was found dead with strangulation marks, with blood oozing from the eyes.
He said a post-mortem at the Parit Buntar Hospital revealed the cause of death was strangulation.
He said initial investigations revealed the 46-year-old suspect had woken the victim up from sleep about 3am and took him downstairs.
The suspect then went back upstairs to awaken his other children and asked for their forgiveness, added Omar.
