Man pleads not guilty to demanding sex from a form three student

A man pleaded not guilty in the Magistrate's Court here today, to a charge of asking a form three girl for sex, four days ago.
Technician, Nur Mohd Solehin Rusli, 29, allegedly asked the 15-year-old girl to perform sex with him by offering RM100, which had outraged her modesty.
The accused was charged with the offence in front of a karaoke centre, Just K Brem Mall, Jalan Kepong, Sentul, here at 5 pm on Jan 18.
The man was charged under Section 509 of the Penal Code which provided a maximum five-year jail or fine or both if guilty.
Deputy Public Prosecutor Muhammad Farith Muhammad Faizal offered a RM4,000 bail in one surety.
The accused, who was not represented, appealled to the court to reduce the bail on the grounds he had to look after a wife, a three-month-old child and elderly parents.
Magistrate Mohd Rehan Mohd Aris allowed the accused a RM2,000 bail in one surety and fixed March 1 for remention of the case.
