Man remanded over Haron Din post

A 69-year-old businessman has been remanded for three days beginning today for allegedly making sensitive comments on Facebook regarding the death of PAS spiritual leader Datuk Haron Din.
He had allegedly made the sensitive remarks on his Facebook page under the name of Ong TK.
The remand application was submitted to the magistrate’s court here by Johor police’s Commercial Crime Investigation Department’s ASP Leong Yew Chew.
The remand was issued by court registrar Faridatul Farrah Mohd Shukri.
Haron, 76, died at 10.10am (Malaysian time) on Friday at the Stanford University Hospital in San Francisco, United States, due to heart complications.
