Man's decomposing body found at oil palm plantation in Ayer Tawar

The decomposing body of a man believed to have been robbed, was found at an oil palm plantation in Ayer Tawar, Sitiawan near here, yesterday morning.
Ting Kwong Boh, 38, was found dead by members of the public at about 9.30am.
Manjung police chief ACP Tengku Mohd Zailan Tengku Ahmad Shah said the victim's father had informed that his son had left the house in Taman Hijau, Sitiawan, at 12.05am on Wednesday, to meet a friend after receiving a phone call.
"The victim's father contacted the victim at 10.30am (Wednesday) before the victim told him he (victim) was beaten and left in an oil palm plantation in Kampung Bharu, Ayer Tawar, by unidentified individuals.
"The victim told his father that his Toyota Altis car was also taken away," he said when contacted here, Friday.
Tengku Mohd Zailan said the police found the victim's burnt car in the same plantation.
He said the body was sent to the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital in Ipoh for post-mortem.
