Man seriously injured from three gun shots near a bus station

A man was seriously injured when shot at in front of a clinic at Jalan Zabidin, near the Mentakab Bus Station, here yesterday.

Temerloh district police chief ACP Anuwar Osman said the 37-year-old victim, who sustained shot wounds on the left chest, had been admitted to the emergency ward of the Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Hospital and was reported in stable condition.

He said according to a witness, the incident occurred about 8.15pm and the victim was earlier seen talking to the suspect.

"Suddenly, the witness heard three gun shots and saw the victim collapsed, while the suspect fled, believed in a car," he told Bernama here today.

He said passers-by helped to send the victim to the hospital .
