Man slashed to death while coming out of a pub in Gelang Patah
The victim, Liew Poh Heng, 22, was walking to his motorcycle after going to a nearby pub with friends when three masked men attacked him.
Three masked men armed with machetes, slashed a man to death while coming out of a pub in Gelang Patah, Nusajaya early Sunday.
Nusajaya police chief, Supt Noor Hashim Mohamed said in the 2am incident, the victim Liew Poh Heng, 22, and his friend, 21, were walking to their motorcycle after going to a nearby pub with other friends.
According to him, at that time the victims were just leaving the place when a grey Proton Waja stopped in front of them before three suspects came out and attacked the two using machetes.
"The dead victim was slashed several times on the head, left hand and leg and was pronounced dead on the way to the Sultanah Aminah Hospital here while his friend managed to escape," he said in a statement.
Noor Hashim said based on initial investigations, the suspects' car which was left at the scene when pursuing the second victim was found stolen in Taman Nusajaya Emas.
Police are still investigating the motive of the incident under section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
