Pakatan Rakyat vice-president (PKR) Mohd Rafizi Ramli is asked to assist with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) regarding the investigation on the issue of the purchase of real estate subsidiary of Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA), Mara Incorporated Sdn. Bhd. (Mara Inc), rather than continuing to gain popularity.
The statement was made by the Chairman of MARA, Tan Sri Annuar Musa in response to Rafizi's call for him to explain the purchase of the Dudley House International property in Melbourne, Australia.
Annuar in a brief statement to Astro AWANI said, the complete document involving the purchase of the property had been surrendered to MACC on Friday.
“Should I pay attention to the people who are more interested in publicity rather than to find out about the results of the investigation?
“There's nothing new about what Rafizi's allegation and I’m sure that the investigation is currently being conducted. Rafizi is left behind on this,” said Annuar.
Annuar stressed that Rafizi was also seen to be more interested in making the issue bait for open discussion amongst the public.
The presentation for the full report by Mara Inc, said Annuar, is already underway on Monday at MARA headquarters in Jalan Raja Laut, here.
However, the essence of the presentation for the report has not been released by MARA Inc.
Annuar added that another press conference will be held at the Special Meeting of the MARA Council on July 2.
Rafizi, in a press conference organised by the National Oversight and Whistleblowers (NOW), disclosed that he had obtained fresh documents which revealed some procedural flaws of MARA’s property purchase in Australia.
He had also sought for necessary clarification from Annuar on other property transactions in Melbourne.
