KUALA LUMPUR: Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) takes sexual harassment allegations involving a MARA Junior Science College (MRSM) student very seriously and has begun an internal investigation to scrutinise the case.
MARA chairman Datuk Azizah Mohd Dun said in a statement today that MARA will not compromise with any wrongdoing involving MARA employees, especially if it involves the safety of students at MARA educational institutions.
"Stern action will be taken against those who are found to be involved according to the stipulated rules to ensure a conducive and safe learning environment free from sexual harassment and the exploitation of women and children.
"MARA will cooperate fully with the authorities to ensure the image and credibility of MARA's educational institutes are preserved," she said.
