The inquest into the death of William Yau Zhen Zhong will be held for two days next month, March 11 and 12.
According to Subang Jaya district police chief, ACP Yahaya Ramli, the coroner fixed the dates during mention at the Petaling Jaya magistrate court today.
William's parents, Yau Kok Kang and Goh Ying Ying today appeared before coroner Mohd Hezri Shaharil this morning, according to a report.
The inquest is assisted by Deputy public prosecutor Lee Keng Fatt, and he reportedly told the court that they had prepared some 30 witnesses to take the stand.
Previously, police said that they had prepared 54 witnesses.
On Jan 16, six-year-old William went missing in Putra Heights, Subang Jaya, when his parents stopped by an electrical shop to look at some appliances.
His body was found a week later floating near the Kampung Sungai Sireh jetty in Port Klang.
Investigations into the death took more than two weeks but yielded no leads or credible evidence.
The post-mortem on the body, which were in advanced stages of decomposition, also returned a uncertain result
