A Twin Otter MH3553 plane belonging to MASwings skidded off the runway at Mukah Airport at 2.02pm today but all on board, two pilots and eight passengers, escaped unhurt.
The plane, on a flight from Miri ke Mukah, veered off onto a grassy area on the left.
The runway was wet and slippery because of rain when the incident happened. Mukah police chief DSP Jimmy Panyau, who confirmed the matter, said there was no reports of injuries or damage to the aircraft.
"The Mukah branch of Malaysia Airports Berhad (MAB) is still awaiting instructions from MAB Miri on the next course of action," he said when contacted by Bernama.
