MB office: No holiday for Kelantan on Sunday

The Kelantan's Menteri Besar office has denied announcing Sunday as a public holiday for the state due to the Hari Raya celebrations expected to fall on Monday.

Press Secretary to the Menteri Besar, Mohd. Asri Mat Daud said that the report that was allegedly carried on Astro AWANI’s website was untrue and that there was no announcement on any of its social media platforms.

“The Exco meeting has not discussed this yet. We will be discussing this during the Exco meeting on July 23 (Wednesday),” he said to Astro AWANI in Kota Bharu.

The portal has not published such article, rather the article in question was published in August 2013 during the Hari Raya celebration last year.

The 'bogus' news of the report went viral on the internet, depicting the same article but with the date conveniently cropped.
